    🌹Gigi is a charming 5-year-old small to medium-sized dog, weighing in at 12kg, currently residing in Darlington. This delightful girl adores tummy rubs and bum scratches—she’s not shy about presenting herself for a good scratch any time of the day!

    💐Gigi has a curious nose and loves sniffing adventures. She enjoys daily exploration zones to sniff out treats, with her favourite activity being rummaging through a cardboard box filled with scrunched-up paper and hidden goodies. She’s also a fan of squeaky toys, particularly when there’s a game of tug involved, often trying to ‘defeat’ her toy with great enthusiasm.

    🌸After a day of play, Gigi is the perfect companion for a cosy evening. She settles down quietly in the lounge and sleeps peacefully through the night, as long as she receives her cherished goodnight treat. A fan of lazy mornings, she doesn’t rush to get up first thing.

    🌺Gigi thrives with scent games and spending time in the garden. However, she finds car journeys stressful and occasionally goes through phases where walks aren’t her favourite activity. She knows basic commands like sit, down, and bed.

    🌷While Gigi reacts to various noises—particularly barking dogs, people outside, doorbells, and knocks—her carers have been working on desensitisation techniques, including counter-conditioning with the doorbell. She prefers a calm, quiet home with minimal visitors and can be protective over high-value treats.

    🌻Gigi is seeking a loving, child-free, and cat-free forever home. She might get along with select canine companions if they’re the right match. Loud noises, such as fireworks or a window cleaner’s equipment, can be overwhelming for her, and she may choose to retreat to a safe spot like under the bed.

    🩺Gigi is a healthy girl, but does occasionally suffer from warts. She is fully vaccinated, microchipped, flea & wormed, brucellosis and 4DX tested

    🚗 For travel, we ask fosterers and adopters who are interested in UK-based dogs to assist with transport by meeting part way. Due to this, UK dogs have a reduced fee, and fosterers are offered fuel reimbursement. Transport can be arranged if necessary, but this will be at the adopter’s expense.
