    🌹Sapphire is a 6-year-old female dog based in Leicester who is searching for a loving family to call her own.

    💐Originally from Romania, Sapphire was rescued from an abusive owner and has come such a long way since her difficult start in life. Despite everything she’s been through, she has remained a loving, affectionate girl with a wonderful personality that brings joy, laughter, and plenty of cuddles into a home.

    🌸Medium-sized at approximately 17kg, Sapphire is a real fusspot who loves attention from her people. She is clever, playful, and always ready for a game of tug of war, a tasty treat, or a cosy nap in a warm, comfortable bed. She also enjoys her walks and getting out to explore the world around her.

    🌺Sapphire is crate trained and is currently learning her name, along with basic commands such as “no”, “wait”, and “stop”. She is making good progress and will thrive with continued positive guidance and consistency. She can be strong on the lead and will pull if given the opportunity, although she has already started to improve and continues to work on her lead manners.

    🌷She can live with other dogs, cats, and dog-savvy older children. Sapphire has shown some very mild resource guarding around food with other dogs on occasion. This behaviour has not been consistent, but any potential adopter should be aware of it and remain sensible and vigilant when managing feeding times.

    🚗 For travel, we ask fosterers and adopters who are interested in UK-based dogs to assist with transport by meeting part way. Due to this, UK dogs have a reduced fee, and fosterers are offered fuel reimbursement. Transport can be arranged if necessary, but this will be at the adopter’s expense.
