🐾From Nervous Newcomer to Happy Goofball – Meet Citrine!🐾
✨ADOPTIVE OR FOSTER HOME WANTED✨
🐶 Name: Citrine
📍 Location: Exeter
💖 Gender: Female
⏰ Age: 2 years old
📏 Size: Medium
🏠 Home Requirements: Citrine can live with calm dogs with slow introductions and dog savvy older children.
❤️Citrine has only been in the UK for just over a week, and in that short time she has already come such a long way. As she settles into her new surroundings, her true personality is beginning to shine—and she’s proving to be an absolute sweetheart.
🧡Citrine is a beautiful, affectionate girl with the biggest smile and an even bigger personality. She is a puppy at heart and lives for playtime, adventures, and cuddles. The moment she feels a kind, gentle hand, she completely melts into you. She gives the loveliest hugs, often wrapping her front legs around your arms and neck, and her goofy antics are guaranteed to make you laugh every single day.
💛She has a wonderfully sweet nature and is eager to build trusting relationships with her people. Watching her confidence grow has been incredibly rewarding. As she’s realised that guidance and boundaries come from kindness rather than fear, she’s become much more relaxed and receptive to learning.
💚Citrine is fully toilet trained, enjoys her walks, travels brilliantly in the car, and has learned to love her crate, where she settles happily. She also knows “wait” and “down” and is already showing she’s capable of learning with patient, consistent training.
💙Like many dogs who haven’t had the best start, Citrine is still learning how to navigate life in a home. She can become worried around food and attention when other dogs are involved, so she would benefit from sensible management while she continues to build confidence. She responds well to calm correction, and these behaviours are already improving.
💜She is an enthusiastic, bouncy girl who doesn’t always realise how big she is! She loves to explore (including digging a few enthusiastic holes in the garden!), can occasionally mistake windowsills for viewing platforms, and is still learning that personal space exists. She also likes to test boundaries, much like an oversized puppy, but everything about her suggests this stems from excitement, anxiety, and a lack of previous guidance rather than any bad intent.
💖Citrine walks beautifully on the lead and loves getting out and about, although passing vehicles can still worry her. She’s happiest in secure fields where she can run and play, and with continued training her confidence outdoors will only continue to grow.
💗Because of her exuberance, Citrine would be best suited to an adult-only home or one with older, dog-savvy children who won’t be knocked over by her excitement. She is looking for a patient, experienced adopter who understands that she’s still very much learning how to be someone’s pet.
In return, you’ll gain one of the most loving, entertaining, and loyal companions you could hope to meet. Citrine doesn’t need perfection—she simply needs someone willing to show her the ropes. Given time, consistency, and love, this wonderful girl has all the makings of an incredible best friend.
