💙Experienced Fosterer Needed for Arlo – A Spirited and Loyal Companion💙

We are urgently seeking a special and experienced foster home for a wonderful dog named Arlo. Arlo is a 22-month-old male who carries a lot of love, energy, and unfortunately, some behavioral challenges that require an understanding and patient fosterer. This is a call to those who have prior experience with dogs who need a bit more guidance and support🏡

    About Arlo:
    🎂 Age: 22 Months
    📏Size: Large
🎾Nature: Playful, excitable, affectionate and overflowing with energy. Arlo is also known to be quite stubborn and can experience attachment issues, needing someone who can provide stability and a strong leadership presence.

    His Favorite Activities:
Arlo is happiest when he’s running free in a field or engaging in a spirited game of tug of war with his favorite toys. His zeal for life is infectious, and he needs an outlet for his boundless energy❤️

    🐶Training:
    – Toilet Trained: Yes, Arlo knows his bathroom manners.
    – Commands: He can sit, give a paw, lie down, leave, and wait on command.
    – Lead Training: Semi-trained. Arlo requires continued lead training as he can be reactive on walks.
    – Crate Training: Not crate trained, which is something that can be worked on with his new fosterer.

    😱Fears:
Like many dogs, Arlo is scared of fireworks and loud noises. He will need a foster home that can provide comfort and a sense of security during these times.

    ✨Behavioral Challenges:
    – Aggression: Arlo has displayed aggression on walks, typically as a redirection from his reactivity towards other dogs. He can also attempt to nip inside the home, indicating he needs a foster who can manage and redirect these behaviors effectively.
    – Incidents: There has been an incident where Arlo bit his owner due to his reactivity. This is a serious concern that requires a fosterer experienced in handling such situations, with the patience to work through these issues with Arlo.

    🏥Health:
Arlo is a healthy boy but does require grain free food. He is fully vaccinated, microchipped, flea & wormed and brucellosis tested.

    🥰What We Are Looking For:
    – An experienced dog fosterer who has previously worked with dogs that have similar behavioral challenges.
    – Someone who can provide a stable, consistent, and loving environment for Arlo to thrive.
    – A foster home without other pets or young children, due to Arlo’s current behavioral needs.
    – A person who has the time, patience, and commitment to work on Arlo’s training needs, including his reactivity and lead training.

    🙏🏻What We Provide:
    – Ongoing support and advice from our experienced staff and behaviorists.
    – Coverage of veterinary expenses while Arlo is under foster care.
