❤️Paige is a 2.5 year old medium size female weighing approximately 16kg, she is currently based in Peterborough and is now looking for her forever family to adore. She is the sweetest soul, she loves human company and is ever so affectionate and will happily snuggle with her head in your lap. She is very gentle and takes treats very gently. She loves playing chase with balls especially a squeaky one and has a cute habit of squeaking it deliberately when it’s in her mouth. She also enjoys a game of tug of war but lets you know when she’s had enough or wants to win by putting her paw on top of the toy. She is very goofy and likes to chase her tail which is very entertaining to watch. She loves to play chase with her humans and slams her front paws on the ground with her bum in the air then pounces at you. She loves belly rubs often showing her belly to let you know she wants belly rubs. She melts into you when she wants love and basically becomes liquid as she slides down you to the floor. When she gets excited she leaps like a little lamb across the room, also shaking her whole body in excitement. She loves to bury her face in your arm or blanket and enjoys to hide and find her toys in a blanket.
💛Paige is very bright and eager to please. She learns things quickly, she is mostly toilet trained and uses dog bells on the back door 90% of the time to let you know when she needs the toilet, she does have puppy pads laid down as back up especially at night time. Paige’s confidence on the lead has significantly improved she wears a front facing harness and walks quite well, although she does pull initially. She does tend to bark and growl at other dogs out on walks but is calmer with smaller dogs. She knows her name, sit, paw and her foster is currently working on leave and drop, she also knows the word bed but can be a bit stubborn. Paige initially jumped up quite a lot for attention but has now learnt to sit before getting attention, toys, treats and food. Her current foster is also working on clicker training as she responds very well to positive association and reinforcement.
💚Paige would be best as the only pet in the home as she is very hit and miss with cats and isn’t too keen on other dogs. She loves human attention so much we feel she will struggle sharing it with another animal in the home. She needs a lot of stimulation mentally and physically as she can become destructive when she is bored so a home who can provide her with that would be ideal. She is wary of busy roads, cars at night, sirens, aeroplanes, alleyways, dark spaces or shadows in the garden so will need further work on these.
💙Paige seems to love everyone no matter the age but she can be quite lively therefore dog savvy older children would be best.

🚗 For travel, we ask fosterers and adopters who are interested in UK-based dogs to assist with transport by meeting part way. Due to this, UK dogs have a reduced fee, and fosterers are offered fuel reimbursement. Transport can be arranged if necessary, but this will be at the adopter’s expense.
